This role is crucial in conducting general mammography procedures to obtain essential diagnostic information for both inpatients and outpatients. As a Mammography Practitioner, you'll play a key role in ensuring the precision of imaging outcomes while upholding regulatory compliance and facilitating clear communication among clinical teams.

Focus:

  • Execute mammography imaging techniques to acquire vital diagnostic data for patients.
  • Evaluate captured images, rectifying discrepancies to uphold quality standards.
  • Perform mammography exams following established protocols and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Operate equipment to capture high-quality breast images.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and proper labeling.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to interpret results.
  • Assist in implementing quality assurance measures and maintain accurate patient records.

Skill Set:

  • 2-3 years of experience in mammography.
  • Hold applicable licensure/certifications in radiography and BLS cert.
  • Demonstrate clinical and technical proficiency in mammography to meet Quality Standards requirements.
  • Exhibit effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Obtain ARRT registration in radiography mammography within 12 months of hire.
