We are based in New Braunfels, Texas, so we understand the specific insurance needs of homeowners in the South and Southwestern US.

SCC is owned by Cavco Industries, one of the leading mobile home manufacturers in the world. We draw off of our experience as home builders to craft the perfect policy for your home’s needs. In fact, there is a good chance that your home was built by one of our many home builders.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the President of Standard Casualty Company, you'll lead a property and casualty insurance division as well as a captive insurance agency with strategic vision and direction. Your role will involve shaping and executing business plans to boost growth, profitability, and operational standards, aligning with our company's objectives. We're looking for someone with a solid history of success in property and casualty insurance, outstanding leadership abilities, and a keen grasp of developing market trends and regulations.

  • Expand sales and growth by managing distribution channels, forming partnerships, and using effective sales tactics.
  • Build and maintain strong ties with agents, brokers, and distribution allies to advocate for our products.
  • Supervise underwriting standards, risk evaluation methods, and pricing strategies to uphold profitability and risk levels.
  • Review and interpret loss patterns, claims data, and actuarial information to enhance underwriting results.
  • Ensure the property and casualty division meets quality, efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
  • Introduce best practices, policies, and procedures to refine operations and elevate service quality.
  • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and learning-driven culture to boost employee morale and results.
  • Maintain professional business activity with customers throughout the purchase process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICIATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; an MBA or higher is a plus.
  • At least 15 years of experience in property and casualty insurance, with a track record of driving growth and profitability.
