Job Description:

Charter Choices is looking to expand its School Compliance Team by hiring a Grant Specialist responsible for the management, upkeep, and reporting of federal and state grants. The Grant Specialist initiates, facilitates, and manages the development of applications for funding through federal, state, and local grants. The Grant Specialist will focus primarily on developing grant proposals of various size and scope. This position will be responsible for writing and fulfilling all requirements to ensure grants are accepted by the authorizing agent and reimbursable with federal funds. These include both public and private external entities, such as foundations, corporations, government, and other institutions. The Grant Specialist will be responsible for continuously monitoring existing grant funds and coordinating with school leadership to establish budgets and track grant spending. This position will administer the grant budgets and finances. The Grant Specialist will work collaboratively across teams within the company. Additional specific areas of responsibility may include:

• Support the School Compliance Team personnel.
• Oversee and execute and diverse range of grant projects.
• Develop and manage processes and tools utilized for grant project management.
• Communicate with clients and internal team members on grant projects.
• Ensure effective and timely identification and communication of grant progress.
• Complete all grant and compliance reporting per established deadlines.
• Oversee and maintain grant expenditure tracking and reporting.
• Develop systems, procedures, and policies for clients.
• Train internal and external stakeholders on state and federal compliance regulations and requirements.
• Support with ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• Federal programs, school operations experience.
• Pennsylvania Charter School experience.
• Ability to handle interruptions and work on multiple projects.
• Ability to meet established turnaround times and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail is a must.
• Strong communication (oral and written skills).
