Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. Keuka Studios is looking for an experienced Mechanical/Architectural CAD Engineer to design and document various railings, stairs, and other metal-fabricated products for high-end customers both commercial and residential.

Job Description: In this position, you will work directly with Architects, GC’s, builders, and homeowners to gather measurements and requirements to complete the job. All designs are prepared in 3D using Either Autocad Inventor or Ansys SpaceClaim helpful. You will be responsible for creating accurate 3D CAD designs, 2D shop drawings, and Bills of Material to produce the project. Site visits to measure using our 3D laser scanner are occasionally necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Min. BS Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
  • 10 years+ of design engineering experience.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills, Autodesk Inventor.
  • I-Logic knowledge helpful
  • Solid grasp of mechanical structures and various material properties.
  • Working knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex commercial architectural drawings.
  • Ability to produce complete, accurate submittal packages.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.
  • Excellent attention to detail is required.
  • Creativity and eye for aesthetics.
  • Misc. Metal manufacturing background is helpful.
  • 3D rendering experience is helpful but not required.
  • 3D scanning and working with point clouds and meshes are helpful but not required.
  • Structural Analysis FEA is very helpful
  • Woodworking or construction experience is helpful.
