Job Description

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (safety, technical science, industrial hygiene, etc.) with 3 years Industrial Hygiene experience OR Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene with 1 year Industrial Hygiene

• Experience without a degree will be looked at


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience performing exposure monitoring using industrial hygiene sampling equipment

• Able to calibrate meters and pumps to ensure accurate sampling. Able to download data from all types of data logging equipment

• Can read and understand an IH sampling plan and sample physical and chemical stressors, complete IH data sheets, and send samples to lab

• Possess the skills necessary to produce reports in Word, complete data sheets, chain of custody reports for the lab

• Detail-oriented and strong verbal and written communication


KEY TASKS:

• Represent (QHSE) Industrial Hygiene Department: develop action items & completion plans drive to completion

• Coordinate with project personnel to determine need for project/equipment/work reviews/potential exposures

• Exposure Monitoring (Testing/Sampling/Documentation)

• Identify new or best practices in exposure monitoring and associated recordkeeping practices

• Collaborate with Industrial Hygienists to enhance IH/Safety procedures

• Provide training on various topics related to Safety & Industrial Hygiene

• Assist in audits, develop compliance plans, and work on improvement initiatives across the site


SUMMARY

This position plays a crucial role in providing technical Industrial Hygiene and general Safety expertise to address exposure and safety concerns within the site. The primary focus includes conducting safety reviews, managing projects, determining risks, and overseeing exposure monitoring. This role collaborates closely with project personnel, Industrial Hygienists, and various teams to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
