Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Slipper Designer to join our team. As a Slipper Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing stylish and comfortable slippers that align with current fashion trends and customer preferences.


Location:

This is fully onsite position based at our NYC headquarters in the Garment District.


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and create designs for slippers based on market trends, customer feedback, and brand guidelines.
  • Spec proposed product to be used for production
  • Prepare and finalize technical drawings of proposed product to be used for production
  • Participate in line development by contributing innovative ideas and variations to expand our slipper product offerings.
  • Stay updated on fashion trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques relevant to slipper design.
  • Interpret design/style trends into brand appropriate product that fits within pricing strategy and production’s skill capacity
  • Maintain a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and efficiency while working on tight deadlines and multiple projects
  • Assisting with additional design projects and tasks as needed


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Slipper Designer or similar role in footwear design.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, innovation, and proficiency in slipper design.
  • Highly skilled in in Adobe Creative Suite, especially PhotoShop and Illustrator
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and construction techniques relevant to slipper design.
  • Organized, dedicated and process-driven team player with heavy attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, prioritize workload successfully and execute projects with fast-turnaround, under budget, ahead of tight deadlines.
  • High energy level and a passion for your work and the overall business
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to be flexible for business needs
  • 5+yrs of experience in slipper design
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, or related field (preferred)
