Journeyman Electrician


Nationwide Hospitality Electric is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will work under the direction of a Master Electrician and be expected to follow safety regulations, electrical codes, and blueprints.


Key Responsibilities


Installation and Maintenance

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems including wiring, lighting, and control systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, ensuring safe and efficient solutions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to understand the layout of electrical systems


Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Perform electrical inspections and testing to ensure proper functioning and safety of systems


Customer Interaction

  • Communicate with clients to understand their electrical needs and provide expert advice and solutions
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction with completed work


Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with other team members, including apprentices and other trades, to complete projects efficiently
  • Mentor and provide guidance to apprentices as needed


Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
  • Proven experience in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical work


Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good physical condition, ability to work in various environments and weather conditions
