Bloom Testing Associates is a small group practice with pre-doctoral training program that provides comprehensive psychological, educational, and neuropsychological evaluations in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Dawn Bloom has provided assessment and evaluation services to the Kansas City community for over 25 years. The successful candidate has an on-going interest in psychodiagnostic assessment with adult populations as well as excellent written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to convey caring and understanding will be highly valued as well. The position provides neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for adults (18+) and older adults (65+) with a variety of concerns. Typical presentations include individuals with suspected dementia and/or referrals that require differential diagnosis using DSM-5-TR criteria.

Supervision is available for pre-licensed psychologists seeking hours for licensure. This 12-month position offers a positive work environment in a comfortable, team oriented, private practice setting in the Brookside area of Kansas City. The position can run longer than 12 months if mutually agreed upon. Wages start at 50K per year for full-time pre-licensed psychologists. Wages for licensed psychologists will correspond with revenue from completed evaluations, full/part-time status, and experience level.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical interviews with adult patients and their families.
  • Administer, score, and interpret psychological and neuropsychological test batteries for adult populations.
  • Develop psychological and neuropsychological test reports with relevant patient recommendations and pertinent resources.
  • Communicate with patients and/or their family members regarding evaluation findings and recommendations.
  • Active participation in group supervision with licensed psychologists, as well as pre-doctoral practicum students.
  • Provide supportive mentoring to psychologists in training.
  • Make referrals for psychiatric care, ancillary services, and counseling interventions, as indicated.
  • For pre-licensed psychologist, participate in weekly supervision with supervising psychologist (licensed).


Qualifications

  • Completion of doctorate (Ph.D./Psy.D./E.D.) in clinical, counseling, or health psychology through an accredited institution.
  • Licensed (or license eligible) in the State of Missouri
  • At least one year of psychological assessment/evaluation experience or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrate competence in psychodiagnostic assessment including use of personality measures such as MMPI and MCMI, and neuropsychological measures that include WAIS-IV, WMS-IV, EVT, and PPVT.
  • Understanding and strict adherence to ethical guidelines and standards for the field of psychology.
