We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize our fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our fleet, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the efficiency of our transportation services. This role requires strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to enhancing operational performance.


*Responsibilities*

  • Planning and scheduling: Assist Regional Managers in creating efficient routes and schedules for drivers to pick up and deliver products throughout the regions.
  • Maintenance: Work with Regional Managers, Branches, and Mechanics to schedule regular maintenance and truck repairs. Additionally, you will work with regions to build out roadside assistance policies and programs.
  • Vehicle acquisition: Assist in the process of purchasing new vehicles and deciding when to replace current vehicles. Additionally, you will help standardize the fleet for cost leverage.
  • Driver management: Work with Regional Managers to recruit, train, and manage drivers, including ensuring they are licensed and adhere to safe driving practices. You will play a key role in ensuring we onboard new drivers properly.
  • Regulatory compliance: Ensure the fleet complies with all applicable laws (DOT,statutory), regulations, and other industry standards.
  • Budgeting: Manage the budget for vehicle repairs, replacements, and helping the regions find the best pricing for their area.
  • Reporting: Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, fleet safety, and fleet utilization progress.
  • Accident Investigation: Assist the regions investigate and root cause driver issues and accidents to ensure we prevent reoccurrence


*Experience*

- Proven experience in fleet management or a related field is required.

- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Proficient in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, drivers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on metrics related to fleet performance.

- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in fleet management are a plus.
