Are you a skilled surveyor with a passion for overseeing impactful projects? Our well-established firm specializing in Engineering, Surveying, and Planning is seeking a dedicated Project Surveyor to lead our surveying and geomatics group. This role offers a unique chance to manage diverse projects and contribute to both public and private sector land improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Oversight: Take charge of all aspects of the surveying and geomatics group, including field crews and technical staff.
• Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Initiate and maintain contact with key personnel and officials from various organizations and companies.
• Project Management: Plan, organize, and supervise survey crews and technicians. Administer contracts, manage projects, and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Innovative Project Development: Plan and develop unique surveying projects, explore challenging tasks, and create innovative solutions and approaches.

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Florida Professional Land Surveyor licensure preferred, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months (bachelor’s degree required for licensure).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in surveying management, particularly in residential and commercial development.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in survey computations and platting using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and field experience with Trimble Survey equipment.
• Computer Proficiency: Experience with survey data management using Trimble or Android devices, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Google Earth, and IT skills.
• GPS Knowledge: Thorough working knowledge of GPS systems required.
• Additional Requirements: Must pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving policy.
