Senior Financial Analyst

Dallas, TX - Hybrid, 4 days onsite


One of Vaco's construction clients is looking to onboard a Senior Financial Analyst to backfill for someone that was recently promoted. This is a highly-acquisitive, PE-backed operation with a strong growth trajectory.


Analysts will ideally be comfortable building out and tweaking models, have previous experience with Power BI or similar data platforms and are able to analyze and manipulate large sets of data to identify evaluate trends and give ideas. Knowledge of construction or project-related concepts such as WIP & POC area also required.


  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Perform in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability assessments. Prepare and present detailed financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities. Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and evaluate business strategies, financial models, and investment opportunities.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance. Analyze data to provide actionable insights and drive improvements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and planning functions.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as requested by senior management or other departments.
