Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst


Location: Houston, TX/Hybrid

Primary Function:

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks, monitoring network activities for vulnerabilities, and ensuring robust defense mechanisms are in place to prevent unauthorized access or data breaches.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic for signs of suspicious activity.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents in real-time.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend security enhancements.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and updates.
  • Document and report on security incidents and outcomes.
  • Stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a related role.
  • Strong understanding of network security protocols, threat models, and risk management frameworks.
  • Proficiency with security tools such as SIEMs, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively relay complex security topics to non-technical stakeholders.
