Microsoft Power Platform Engineer

CBTS is searching for a Power Platform Developer. The Power Platform Developer will be responsible for developing applications using a low-code development platform, setting up and configuring systems for each business group's unique requirements. They will be developing- implementing- automating- and scaling the system design- system administration- and system deployment to deliver best-in-class services using Power Platform. They will assist with solutions engineering, strategy and research and development around business process management (BPM) and robotic process automation RPA tools. They will deliver enterprise applications with minimal traditional coding involved.
Responsibilities:
- Be the subject matter expert for Digital Automation tools. Develop, design, and implement automated application built upon Microsoft Power Platform.
- Identifies opportunities to automate or improve existing processes.
- Business Process Management and RPA
- with form builders, pre-built templates and drag and drop visual entity builders
- design, and develop prototypes using automation technologies to demonstrate solution capabilities.
- training tools (manuals, tip sheets, process flow documents), coordinate and conduct end-user training.
- documentation to provide user support for programs and for production/operating procedures.
- Low Code Development
- with form builders, pre-built templates and drag and drop visual entity builders
- design, and develop prototypes using low code technologies to demonstrate solution capabilities.
- training tools (manuals, tip sheets, process flow documents), coordinate and conduct end-user training.
- Provide guidance and sharing best practices regarding Power Platform (Power Apps - with focus on Model -Driven Apps, Power Automate, etc.) development.
- Use Microsoft Power Platform CoE toolkit to set up standards, consistency, and governance.
- Produce design and other technical documentation.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in application design and development, with a minimum 3 year in developing Canvas and Model driven custom PowerApps applications based on specific business requirements.
- 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Flow and Power Automate to create customized, complex application data workflows and automated processes
- 3-5 years of experience with conducting and participating in design reviews and code reviews
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education, industry certifications and relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, with a focus on PowerApps and Power Automate including RPA.
- Experience with low-code business application development and administration
- Support project and tech lead in development plans, estimation, and code and design reviews.
- Work within Power Platform Environments, Dataverse tables, and app deployments.
- Basic SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and general Web 2.0 techniques experience
- Ability to diagnose application issues and to decide what can be done with low-code instead of traditional coding (80/20 rule)
- Understanding of application security with general understanding of current security threats
- Conceptual and practical understanding of IT Infrastructure, products, and services, such as networking protocols, encryption, and other technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and acquire new technologies in the areas of web & mobile application development
- Experience with using Agile development methods and processes
- Able to provide accurate estimates of timeframes necessary to complete potential projects and develop milestones and project implementation plans
- Ability to analyze and creatively solve complex technical problems
- Ability to work in a group setting and independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Nintex/K2 or other workflow tools
- Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Familiar with modern development practices (Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration / Deployment, etc.)
- Familiar with Monitoring tools like Dynatrace or Applications Insight
- Microsoft certification preferred (e.g., PL-900, PL-400, etc.)
