Job description:

Reason for open position: Project Capital Project - Additional capacity to prepare moving 4000 users over to an upgraded platform; Ensuring that all functions are functions work appropriately and all the user in the migration have the appropriate support; Scaling support

Position Profile:

Key responsibilities :

  • Testing a number of new capabilities for the Hadoop platform
  • Working with customers to resolve any issues that they encounter as the get up and running
  • Creation of user documentation/training materials
  • Code optimization - as the connections and conditions change, update;
  • Planning and executing user program migration -- (Go through user programs making sure coordinating production, make sure it's up and running)


Heavy technical role, with user engagement


Must have technical skills/experience (ask for alternative/tool/version) of the position in priority order:

  • Apache Impala
  • Apache Spark
  • Bash, Python and C/C++.
  • Creating End User Training Manuals
  • End User Training
  • Hadoop Cloudera
  • Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)
  • PySpark


Nice to have:

Python - preferred


Soft skills:

  • Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Planning and prioritization
  • Presentation skills (leadership)


Degrees or certifications

Bachelors - preferred;

2 RNDS - Small Panels (No more than 3 ppl [HM, Tech Team member, Ops Team member]; 30 mins each
