Dallas, United States Lapis Energy Full time

Who we are:

Lapis, founded in 2020 by a team of industry-leading experts and backed by Cresta Fund Management, is a Dallas-based, vertically integrated energy infrastructure development firm focused entirely on decarbonization through CCS. In April of 2022, Lapis Energy (Lapis) and LSB Industries, Inc. (LSB) (NYSE: LXU) announced that they entered into an agreement to capture and permanently sequester more than 450,000 metric tons of CO2 per year at LSB Industries’ El Dorado facility in Arkansas, CO2 injection is expected by 2025.

Lapis Energy also announced in 2022 it has completed the lease of over 14,000 acres of carbon pore space rights with a private landowner 20 miles west of New Orleans, Louisiana. Lapis as operator (in conjunction with JV partner ExxonMobil) has already begun technical studies to progress a Class VI permit for the area to develop the carbon storage site. Recently Lapis also announced a two-year exploration agreement with Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) for subsurface carbon dioxide sequestration in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi covering 187,500 acres of subsurface rights owned by Weyerhaeuser.
