Bill Watts at Robert Half is partnering with a global Tier automotive supplier looking to directly hire a Payroll Specialist to their corporate team This client is searching for someone with experience processing high volume payroll with ADP Enterprise software experience paying up to 85k plus annual bonus


Overview: As a Payroll Specialist with expertise in ADP Enterprise software, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees. This role involves handling various payroll tasks, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your experience with ADP Enterprise will be crucial in optimizing payroll processes and resolving any payroll-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:
  • Process payroll for all employees using ADP Enterprise software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Verify timekeeping records and reconcile any discrepancies before payroll processing.
  1. Data Management:
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
  1. Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax withholdings, garnishments, and other deductions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax reports, W-2s, and other required documentation to regulatory agencies.
  1. Benefits Administration:
  • Coordinate payroll-related aspects of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and deduction of benefits from employee paychecks.
  1. Issue Resolution:
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, errors, and employee inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues.
  1. System Optimization:
  • Utilize ADP Enterprise software to its full potential, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on software updates and features to continuously improve payroll processing.
  1. Internal Audits and Controls:
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard payroll data and processes.
  1. Training and Support:
  • Provide training and support to HR and finance staff on payroll processes and ADP Enterprise software.
  • Assist in the development of payroll-related training materials and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in payroll processing, with specific experience using ADP Enterprise software.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
