BCI has the following 1 year contract position open with our direct client located in Jersey City, NJ. This SW development position will be hybrid with 1 day a week required in office. Position is open for w2/1099 ONLY. **Not able to work on a C2C or with subcontractors.


Job Description:

Responsible for the development, design and implementation of new or modified software products or ongoing business projects.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Working closely with other developers, designers, business and systems analysts

• Develop applications.

• Provide guidance on industry best practices, guidelines and governance for web applications and web sites.

• Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure end product is delivered with quality outcomes.

• Perform benefit analysis for IT solutions and make recommendations for technology direction.

• Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs

• Testing and evaluating new programs

• Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing these modifications

• Writing and implementing efficient code

• Determining operational practicality

• Developing quality assurance procedures

• Deploying software tools, processes and metrics

• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems


Qualifications:

• Technical Degree or related discipline

• 3-5 years of experience with C# Core, Angular, REST APIs and Agile. NoSQL exp a plus.

• Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch a plus

• Experience in designing and building applications in various languages.

• Must be productive and reliable. Ability to figure out technical issues a must.

• In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
