This position is responsible for supporting and directing the implementation and maintenance of the company's ServiceNow platform, including the Configuration Management System (CMS) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) Programs. This involves maintaining policies and processes around configuration management (CM), IT asset management, inventory management and disposal, as well as supporting compliance to these policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --

  • Act as ServiceNow platform owner, converting the strategic direction from the executive sponsors into implementation plans
  • Direct the implementation and maintenance of the company's IT hardware and software asset management programs including inventory management and disposal
  • Maintain a software compliance program, to include:
    • Interpretation of software Product Use Rights and Terms and Conditions of License Agreements
    • Creation of a company-wide education program to communicate the importance of software compliance
    • Facilitation of internal software audits to detect unauthorized/unlicensed software
    • Support of software audits conducted by software suppliers
  • Analyze software and hardware compliance reports to identify trends, potential issues and areas of opportunities; communicate results and recommendations to senior management
  • General support, administration, and maintenance of the CMS
    • Coordinate application and platform upgrades
    • Review critical incident outage resolution results and responses
    • Facilitate communication and engage business and IT management to encourage CM efforts
    • Review and approve changes to the CMS infrastructure
    • Educate employees about CM services, concepts, policies, and procedures
    • Review and publish configuration management reporting

Qualifications: --

  • B.S./B.A. in computer related discipline or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with ITAM/CMS, at least 3 of which are with ServiceNow
  • Expertise in software licensing and auditing
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with ServiceNow implementations for large, decentralized organizations
  • ServiceNow certification (admin or higher) is a plus
  • Responsible for company-wide compliance of software and hardware licenses
