firstPRO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PMO Manager to join our client’s team in a governance-focused role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing governance processes, documentation standards, and ensuring adherence to them across the organization. This role will serve as the right-hand person to the PMO Director. This role is a consulting opportunity and has a hybrid work model which requires 3 days onsite.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement governance processes and documentation standards to ensure consistency and compliance across projects and programs.
  • Lead efforts to establish and maintain project management best practices, templates, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement governance frameworks tailored to specific project needs.
  • Ensure that project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and teams on governance-related matters.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with governance processes and standards.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for governance initiatives.


Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 2 years in a governance or PMO role.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing governance processes and standards.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • PMP or other relevant certification is a plus.
