Warehouse Specialist

Job Summary

The Yard / Warehouse Specialist supports our operations by facilitating the smooth movement of materials, tools, and equipment into and out of our warehouse / yard facility. This position requires the ability to operate a forklift and an understanding of materials, tools, and equipment terminology specific to the construction industry. Ability and experience with driving flatbed trucks is a plus.

Duties

• Safe loading and unloading of delivery trucks including verifying bills of lading.
• Sorting, counting, documenting, stocking, and repackaging materials, tools, and equipment.
• Preparing orders for pickup or transport including packaging, loading onto trucks, and applicable documentation.
• Movement of materials, tools, and equipment into and around the warehouse/yard.
• Maintenance of warehouse/yard organization and tidiness.
• Safe and proper disposal of material unfit for continued use.
• Tag tools and/or equipment that is damaged and in need of repair.
• Complete applicable paperwork pertaining to the warehouse/yard operations.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and delivery drivers.
• Work safely and effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid CA driver license.
• Valid forklift certification
• Must be able to routinely lift at least 50 lbs throughout the day.
• Understanding of materials, tools, and equipment terminology specific to the construction industry.
• Ability and experience driving flatbed trucks is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift operating and warehouse work experience preferred.
