Logistics Specialist

Japanese Logistic Company seeks a Logistic Specialist in Erlanger, KY.

Hourly range: $24-25.00/hr Work Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm (Lunch 30min.)

Import & Export Documentation & Handling

·Responsible for providing an excellent level of customer service in telephone and email communications.

·Inputs shipping data into the system.

·Books shipments with ocean/air carriers and truckers as needed for Ocean Imports and Exports.

·Confirms transportation and delivery times with trucking lines that are handling customer’s containers. Relays all necessary information to customer regarding expected arrival times, etc.

·Makes payments and follows up on all payments and allocates any refunds for non-peak hour pickups accordingly.

·Arranges customs clearance for imports.

·Creates and sends Arrival Notice to consignees or their brokers.

·Arranges inland transportation as needed and coordinates information with customers.

·Receives commercial invoices and arrival notices from steamship lines and collect appropriate materials for distribution to customs broker.

Administrative Support

·Creates billing invoices and sends originals to billing parties with necessary back-up documents.

·Creates Profit & Loss sheet for each shipment and provides to Accounting for month end closing.

·Communicates with customer regarding outstanding invoices.

·Assists with answering phones and refers them to proper staff member or takes messages
