Job Purpose

The merchandise processor assists the store manager in overseeing the daily operation of the store, including, selecting acceptable inventory for store, determining inventory status, operating store point of sale system, and assisting donation center attendant including supervising staff.

Duties

  • Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable staff
  • Process donations based on season and demand.
  • Support the daily activity of the sales floor and donation area where needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized sorting and inventory area
  • Direct volunteer activity
  • Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
  • Ensure the proper display of merchandise
  • Follow organization's policies and procedures regarding cash handling
  • Other duties as assigned by Store Manager

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years of production, retail or similar experience or a combination of both
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • This position works 40 hours per week, primarily Monday - Friday but must be willing to work Saturdays when needed
