Overview

At Domify (www.domifyai.com), we are building an enterprise AI platform to tackle the complex world of compliance and regulations in wealth management. Domify leverages public and private sources of information, and proprietary workflows, to bring the power of AI to legal, compliance and regulatory oversight to financial services.


Domify is seeking a hands-on engineering and AI leader to implement and lead the AI and product build-out partnership with the CEO and CPO. In this role you will work closely with early clients, subject matter experts and board advisors, leveraging your full stack engineering skills, data science expertise and Generative AI chops.


As the founding head of engineering, you will have the opportunity to build a great engineering team, and contribute directly in product design and go-to-market (GTM) endeavors.


Location: NYC (in person only)

At this stage of our development, the act of collaborative and in-person building is important to us. The founding team are all NYC based, and we expect the successful candidate to join us in our mid-town offices 3 days a week. Telecommuting, short NYC stays or relocation are not in consideration at this time.


Salary

$200k plus generous employee stock options, based on experience.


What you will do:

  • Build v1 of Domify's Gen AI platform: make key architectural decisions, shaping the technology stack, choice of LLM orchestration approaches and solving data engineering problems
  • Build the Team: You will play a vital role in identifying, recruiting, and managing a team of exceptional engineering, and AI talent.
  • Hands-On: You are comfortable building early versions of our platform with hands-on-keyboard, using your experience and skill as a senior engineer to mentor and guide junior colleagues.
  • Rapid Innovation: You are comfortable in a rapidly evolving space, quickly evaluating and deploying new technologies and approaches to AI in an Enterprise setting


Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • 10 years+ of technology work experience including 5 years + in technical leadership, spanning full stack engineering, data science and AI
  • Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (both hosted and open source) devops, and ML Ops in an enterprise setting
  • Track record of deploying AI products to regulated industries (financial services, healthcare) is a plus, together with a creative mindset to solving enterprise problems
  • Experience working with highly confidential and secure enterprise data in ring-fenced environments
  • Domain expertise in financial services, wealth and investment management is a plus
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (BSc/MSc); a PhD is a plus.
  • A successful track record in recruiting and leading motivated teams.
  • Agile or Scrum expertise in software development methodologies.
