Education

Job Description:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Work Experiences

  • At least five years of related work experience required
  • 3 years of management experience preferred
  • Seven years of related work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Building an assortment that achieves planned KPIs
  • Manages Open to Buy ensuring sales, margins, turns, and profitability are within plan
  • Analyzes vendor performance and independently negotiates all aspects of profitability including VAs, RTVs, off-price buys to maintain margin expectations
  • Gives direction on regular, promotional, and clearance pricing
  • Partners with planner on product flow and inventory management
  • Collaborates with Replenishment Analyst on inventory levels and distribution at total and store level
  • Collaborates with Omnichannel Merchandiser regularly on assortment, placement, promotions, and marketing
  • Oversees advertising for assigned categories, including item selection, layouts, and proofing
  • Analyzes ads and drives change to optimize ad performance
  • Conducts line reviews for assigned categories
  • Initiates and approves Plan-O-Grams
  • Recommends in-store merchandising opportunities
  • Provides leadership and direction to Suppliers and Sourcing on product development
  • Works with stores and distribution center to answer questions, and identifies and resolves issues
  • Searches for new suppliers, categories, and items
  • Shops competition to compare products, pricing, merchandising, etc.
  • Manages, mentors and develops team leading to career advancement
  • Required to learn company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Duties may change and associates may be required to perform other duties as assigned

  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
  • Domestic travel is required
