Position: Tool Maker

Position Summary:

Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of all equipment associated with Mold Making, including surface grinders, Bridgeport’s, manual lathes, and other related equipment to the accepted level of excellence.

Primary Tasks:

- Plan and coordinate all processes associated with the manufacture of injection molds.

- Require at least 5 years of related machining experience.

- Operate equipment such as manual surface grinders, manual milling machines, manual lathes, jig grinders, OD grinders, and related equipment.

- Inspect all work with precision, working to +/- 0.0001 tolerances.

- Cad/Cam experience is a plus, preferably Mastercam.

- Read/interpret all forms of blueprints and models.

- Follow written or verbal instructions.

- Communicate effectively with team members.

- Perform all related duties.

Education/Experience Requirements:

- High School diploma or higher.

- Practical machining and tool build process knowledge.

- 5 years of practical tool-building experience.

Physical Requirements:

Constant standing, walking, and visual activity are required. Frequent reaching, grabbing, push/pulling, pinching, and neck rotation will be necessary. Occasionally, the position will require some sitting, climbing, stooping, squatting, and keyboarding. Lifting will rarely exceed over 75 pounds.

Work Environment:

The worker will be subject to inside environmental conditions. This position can be subject to hazards such as occasional to frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts and electrical currents when down by the machines.
