Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Smart Growth: Analyze problems effectively, provide timely resolutions, anticipate consequences, take initiative, secure long-term organizational capability, and implement innovative resource utilization systems.
  • Participative Decision Maker: Promote services internally and externally, liaise with physicians, patients, and families, enhance customer experience, network within the community, and engage in site visits and committee meetings.
  • Efficiency Focus: Develop project/task plans, prioritize and allocate resources, delegate authority, analyze root causes, act decisively, maintain enthusiasm, and recognize and reward excellence.
  • Improve Care/Service: Maintain confidentiality, seize improvement opportunities, set high standards, take responsibility for decisions, honor commitments, provide clear performance expectations, foster collaborative relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Catalyst for Success: Supervise department workflow, identify and leverage team strengths, offer education and mentoring, manage staff effectively, resolve conflicts fairly, facilitate communication, and ensure staff compliance.
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Prepare realistic budgets, develop cost-saving processes, understand revenue drivers, ensure budget compliance, and adjust staffing to meet patient care needs.

  • Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm


Location:

  • Methodist Hospital- 8303 Dodge St, Omaha, NE


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in a relevant field preferred.
  • Must complete a bachelor’s degree in a related field within 5 years of hire.
  • Satisfactory completion of annual mandatory education requirements.


Experience:

  • For bachelor-prepared candidates: 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in areas of expertise; healthcare experience preferred.
  • For non-bachelor-prepared candidates: 7-10 years of sterile processing experience and 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in areas of expertise.


Licenses/Certifications:

  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Manager (CSPDM), Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT), or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required, to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
