POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Graphic Designer is a full-time position that reports to the Marketing Director and works collaboratively as part of the marketing team. This position calls for a complimentary mix of creative vision and production expertise. You will interpret our brand needs and design solutions to work across a variety of media, including but not limited to:


  • Webpage creation
  • Product launch campaigns
  • Social media assets
  • Product packaging
  • Email marketing
  • Print ads
  • Exhibitions/booth/event design
  • Corporate identity and brand positioning

...and more.


Along with the marketing team, the Senior Graphic Designer will collaborate with other internal departments, Zoom Corporation headquarters in Japan, and third party contractors, vendors, and agencies.


The Senior Graphic Designer must be a proven and creative professional with experience in both digital and print media. We are looking for an out-of-the-box thinker who has a passion for brand development and a great eye for design. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work within an established brand identity/style guide
  • Work across a wide range of media to accomplish brand goals
  • High level of design production skills
  • Think creatively and work collaboratively to develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts
  • Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas to the team
  • Amend final designs to team comments and gain full approval
  • Work collaboratively with photographers/videographers, copy writers, social media manager, and the marketing and creative directors. This also includes third party agencies
  • Art direction for new product photo and video shoots
  • Prepare finished copy and art with accuracy and attention to detail for social media advertising as well as print vendors, magazine publishers, etc.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of creative design experience in product, marketing, brand, at an agency, or in-house team
  • A portfolio that showcases a wide range of graphic design skills across advertising, branding, social media and product launch campaigns
  • Experience planning and executing photo shoots, including scouting locations, considering set design, creating detailed shot lists and directing photographers, videographers and talent on-set
  • Possess strong attention to detail in all aspects of your work
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workflow, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Possess creative style, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality
  • Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with team members, partners, and vendors though written, sketch/storyboard and verbal communication
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Photography and image editing/retouching/composition expertise
  • Experience using Content Management System web tools for creating and maintaining web pages and HTML email
  • BFA, Graphic Design (or similar), or equivalent work-related experience
  • Knowledge of current social media and web design trends
  • Ability to travel for trade shows and video/photo shoots as needed



ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Photography and/or videography experience
  • Video editing/motion design experience (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, etc.)
  • Strong visual/interaction/conceptual skills via storyboarding
  • Basic HTML/CSS programming knowledge
  • Industry experience and passion for music/filmmaking/podcasting


This is an on-site position, located at the Zoom North America office in Hauppauge, New York.
