We’re looking to hire a Freelance Copy Editor/Proofreader for a mutual insurer of auto, home, life, marine, and annuities. If you have a love of words, a keen eye for detail, a problem-solving approach to content organization and editing, and a commitment to accuracy, we want to hear from you

**This is a temp to perm role (contract for about 6 months)

**You must be able to go onsite 3 days a week in Lincoln, RI. NO REMOTE CANDIDATES

Responsibilities:

• You will be proofing and editing a wide variety of materials including marketing documents, web content, sales brochures, product instructions, packaging labels, HR/benefits, long form documents and email communications.
• Provide awareness of larger-scope issues of sense, logic, factual accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines while maintaining steady focus on smaller-scope issues like grammar, consistency, and layout discrepancies.
• Collaborate with the creative team of print and web designers, web developers, writers, print production professionals, and account executives.

Requirements:

• 4 Year Degree
• AP style Guidelines
• The ideal candidate will have excellent proofreading skills but also reads the content for context and comprehension and will recommend edits if necessary.
