Buyer

Crenlo has an exciting opportunity in our Supply Chain Group. We are looking for a Production Buyer to purchase goods, materials, and services ensuring the company operational needs are met considering price, quality, and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.

In This Position You Will:

• Responsible for reviewing and submitting auto-generated purchase orders and buy messages for the purchase of goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
• Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization
• Be responsible for the timely review of order confirmations from vendors, update correct lead times in the system, and relay price corrections as needed to the Commodity Management team
• Effectively manage supplier performance to meet delivery and quality objectives
• Prepare reports and updates as and when required
• Be expediting orders on critical materials and parts
• Be responsible for initiating cost reduction activities
• Maintain and update ERP system information

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Management and or relevant field
• 3-5 years manufacturing experience as a production buyer
• MRP and JIT experience is required
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, customers, and suppliers
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Be proficient with Microsoft products

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strategic Procurement experience is desired
• Experience operating BAAN and/or Oracle EBS
