Kansas Solar Systems offers a complete range of solar energy, battery storage, EV chargers & carport solutions to homes & businesses.

 

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Solar Installer at Kansas Solar Systems located in Lawrence, KS. The Solar Installer will be responsible for installing solar panels on residential and commercial buildings, they will work with Solar Electricians and perform support duties as required. The Solar Installer will collaborate with the team to ensure quality installation and excellent customer service to clients. 

Solar Installers build skills across a variety of construction trades and are encouraged to pursue Electrical and NABCEP accreditations.

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment or tools.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Ability to work in all weather, cold or heat, adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring and circuitry.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Knowledge of solar panel installation and maintenance is a plus.
  • Certifications in OSHA, CPR, or First Aid are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.


Pay

·        New installers with little or no experience starting at $20

·        Experienced installers starting at $23

·        Pay review after 90 days

·        Monthly bonus, based on the volume of quality work completed, increases with experience/qualifications.

·        Tuition matching towards Journeyman and/or NABCEP accreditation.
