Job Duties:

  • Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
  • Assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions, both in the office and during surgical procedures.
  • Perform minor procedures such as joint injections, aspirations, and casting/splinting.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, providing patient education and follow-up care.
  • Document patient visits and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other PAs, nurses, and medical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as required.

Certifications and Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Certification: NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification.
  • Licensure: Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of New Jersey.
  • Experience: Preferred 1-2 years of experience in orthopedics or related field/Not required.
