Responsibilities: We are seeking a Cytotech Supervisor to coordinate and direct our team in performing both routine and non-routine laboratory analyses in the Cytology department. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring quality standards by reviewing test results and directing the repeat of abnormal results.
• Monitoring the maintenance and service contracts for existing equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinating departmental supply acquisition and maintaining proper stock levels.
• Ensuring all staff provide excellent customer service consistently.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Cytotechnologist, CT (ASCP)
• Experience: At least 5 years in the cytology field with CT(ASCP) certification. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology, Biology, or Life Sciences, plus successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP accredited Cytotechnology program.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred.

About the Unit:

• Cases: Approximately 100 new PAP cases per day.
• Patient Population: Varies - primarily outpatient with some reference work.
• Common Diagnoses: Cancer in the uterine cervix, lung, gastrointestinal tract, or body cavities.
• Ideal Candidate: Technically proficient, excellent problem-solving skills, team player, detail-oriented, hardworking, and outstanding customer service skills.
