SUMMARY:

The IT Security Administrator develops, implements, and maintains the organization's security posture. This includes designing, implementing and maintaining security controls, conducting risk assessments, working with security incidents and staying up to date on the latest security threats. The IT Security Administrator is a security subject matter expert providing support across the enterprise for the successful delivery of projects.



ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop, implement, maintain, upgrade, test security systems/platforms.
  • Integrate and/or enrich security solutions, maintaining the codebase and ensuring their sound operation.
  • Support and participate in security incident investigations and threat hunting operations.
  • Stay up to date on the latest security threats and trends.
  • Provide security requirements into the design for various projects and ensure appropriate implementation of security controls for a variety of technical environments.
  • Assure the security of the solution architectures through security reviews and testing.
  • Assist in the development of the organization’s security architecture to address security requirements and emerging threats and continually engineer improvements to the organization's security posture.
  • Conduct risk assessments, recommend, and implement controls to mitigate identified risks within the corporate environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that security requirements are integrated into business processes.
  • Implement security procedures and controls.
  • Monitor and assure the performance of the implemented security controls.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, or 2-5 years related experience within IT Security
  • Working experience in one or more of the following areas: security engineering, security analyst, system administration and IT operations engineer.
  • Experience in working with SIEM, workflow automation and orchestration.
  • Experience leveraging PowerShell or Python for automation, integrations, security investigations or data analytics.
  • Knowledge of security mechanisms within M365 ecosystem.
  • Good understanding of operating systems security, network security, cyber threats and attack procedures.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis and knowledge in some database types.
  • Understanding of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures used by threat actors.
  • Incident handling practices and tools.
  • Security frameworks.
  • Knowledge in penetration testing, security testing and building related tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
