The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.

The opportunity is hybrid with only 1 day a week required to be in office, in order to meet up with the rest of the estimating department.


Responsibilities


  • Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process.
  • Evaluate project costs and complications, and assess the requirements and logistics behind the operations to accurately submit a profitable bid.
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
  • Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates


Qualifications


  • Proficient in a range of Estimating software.
  • Skilled in Bluebeam.
  • Strong numerical abilities.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans.
  • 4 - 10 years' of construction industry experience preferred.


Salary & Benefits:


  • Base salary of up to $150k.
  • Strong monetary bonus' of up to 20%.
  • Hybrid role.
