Are you an imaginative writer with a high level of craft and elegance? ACHC is currently looking for a Copywriter to create compelling and effective written content for a range of resources across the company.


As part of the Corporate Communications team, the Copywriter works closely with subject matter experts, content specialists, marketing specialists, and the visual communications team to ensure consistent messaging across the company.


The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen attention to detail and an eagerness to understand the business of healthcare accreditation. A key to success in this role is the ability to successfully manage multiple projects from conception to completion, writing for a variety of target audiences using clear, concise, relevant, and engaging prose.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Writing compelling content for various channels, including websites, blog posts, marketing collateral, publications, social media copy, and advertising copy.
  • Producing content that is SEO friendly and optimized for conversion.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts, content specialists, and designers to ensure cohesive, on-brand messaging.
  • Working with content specialists to ensure messaging is consistent across the company.
  • Brainstorming and managing projects, juggling multiple deliverables, and adapting key messages within our brand voice for external communications.
  • Assisting with work orders, as assigned.
  • Maintaining adherence to the AP Style Guide and the ACHC Style Guide.
  • Performing other duties, as assigned.


Background/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a liberal arts discipline from an accredited university, or four to five years of equivalent and relevant work experience; Health care experience a bonus.
  • Strong writing, editoring, and proofreading.
  • Familiarity with keyword research and SEO copywriting best practices.
  • Experience with social media and content marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Passion for writing with an excellent portfolio of work.


This position is office-based in Cary, NC with hybrid remote-working privileges. Compensation includes base salary + bonus.
