Job Title: Senior React UI Developer (Hybrid Full-Time)

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior React UI Developer to join our dynamic team in the banking sector. This role is ideal for a passionate developer who is proficient in JavaScript and experienced in React.js. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing user interface components using React concepts and workflows such as Redux, Flux, and Webpack. This is a hybrid position that offers the flexibility of working both remotely and at our San Leandro office.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new user-facing features using React.js
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
  • Coordinate with various teams working on distinct layers
  • As a senior developer, lead and mentor junior developers and review code
  • Ensure robust and secure handling of sensitive financial data



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience in front-end development
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
  • Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
  • Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial



Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry
  • Familiarity with modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
  • Experience with common front-end development tools
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
