Location: Matthews NC
Duration: 181 days assignment with possible extension or conversion
Schedule : M-F 830am-530pm
Required:
- the vaccine requirement cannot be accommodated- it is required – Someone that does NOT have phlebotomy experience will also be disqualified.
Job Description:
Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist. Work environment/department will be listed in requirement. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
Need and Responsibilities:
1 – Is this for and Medical Lab Technician [2 year MLT degree ] or Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist [4 year BS] or are you open to either? Open to both.
2- Please confirm if ASCP or AMT certification is required. [If required, are you open to eligible /registered candidates?] Not required but preferred.
3- Are you seeking a generalist [proficient in testing in all Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation] or are you seeking a Micro Lab worker with Molecular background? Generalist with previous phlebotomy experience.
4- What department will this technical position support? [Micro lab, Core lab, DNA sequence, etc.] Core Lab
5- Is Blood Bank experience required for this role? Not required.
6- Any particular LIS [Lab Information System] experience you would like to see on resumes? [Millenium, Cerner, Epic etc.]
7- Please confirm if color vision screening is required? Yes
Education Requirement:
• 2 YEAR MLT OR BSMT
