Required Skills & Experience

-10-15 or more years of experience working as a DevOps engineer with a focus in Kubernetes and networking

- 3 or more years of experience working in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as a DevOps/NetDevOps engineer

- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, etc.

- Expert in creating Kubernetes containerized clusters from scratch and re-architect clusters with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

- Ability to code in python and any .Net languages. YAML configurations and commands

- Strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP, VPC and load balancing. Proven ability to architect connectivity between Kubernetes clusters

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with AI and/or ML solutions for DevOps

- GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification

- Retail experience

- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior NetDevOps Engineer to join a retail client in Irving, TX. The Senior NetDevOps Engineer will join the DevOps team responsible for managing infrastructure in a hybrid on-premises and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This individual will be responsible for creating containerized Kubernetes clusters from scratch and re-architecting Kubernetes clusters with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). The Sr. NetDevOps Engineer will support the design and implementation of infrastructure and network solutions in GCP/GKE and automate deployment and management using tools like Terraform and Ansible to ensure a scalable, secure, and highly available environment. The engineer will be tasked with creating and establishing network connectivity in a multi-cluster environment to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the applications and infrastructure. This resource should be an expert with networking components (architecture, firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP, VPC, etc.) in relation to DevOps to ensure applications have secure data transmission. This individual should have previous experience with SRE and observability tools for consistent system performance monitoring.
