Production Supervisor

Employment Solutions is partnering with a company to hire a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift to work onsite in Elmira, NY. This is a direct hire position with full benefits


2nd shift: 3:30 pm – 12 midnight


As the Production Supervisor of Packaging Services, you will oversee the operation of the department including quality, productivity, safety, and scheduling requirements.

You will troubleshoot issues, ensure the efficient day to day operations of the company, and coordinate a team of production employees to make sure that consistent and quality goods are constantly being produced.

Responsibilities

  • Assign employees to machines and tasks to achieve production schedules.
  • Lead team members; training them in machine operation
  • Train employees in safe work practices and procedures.
  • Operates machines, trucks material or otherwise does production work on an occasional/fill-in basis.
  • Perform Clean Lines, Start-up Checklists, and Pre-job orientations.
  • Responsible for maintaining an injury free work environment.
  • Track metrics
  • Coordinate production with other shifts and departments.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years work experience
  • Team lead / supervisory experience
  • Strong communication skills
