Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and adherence to company policies.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
• Manage cash flow by forecasting cash needs, optimizing working capital, and overseeing banking relationships.
• Analyze costs and expenses to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions, including pricing strategies, product profitability, and investment opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and manage relationships with external tax advisors.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with auditors to provide necessary documentation and resolve any audit findings.
• Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of wholesale industry dynamics, including inventory management, pricing strategies, and supply chain operations.
• Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, with advanced Excel skills for financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

Compensation:

• The Financial Controller position offers a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
