Sr Azure Data Architect

Hybrid position


Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Azure Data Architect with Database Engineering and Data Warehousing/Data Modeling/Data Architecture and strong Financial Services knowledge. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SQL Server database Engineering and possess 7 to 20 years of relevant experience in the field. As a Database Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our databases, ensuring optimal data organization, performance, and integrity.


Responsibilities:

1. Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake.

2. Utilize Python to develop Data Pipelines.

3. Query Writing: Create efficient and well-structured database queries, stored procedures, functions, and other database objects to support application requirements and data processing needs.

4. Data Warehousing: Possess good experience in Data Warehousing, including designing and building data warehouses to facilitate effective data reporting and analysis.

5. Data Modeling: Participate in data modeling activities to design and optimize database structures, ensuring data is appropriately structured for efficient retrieval and storage.

6. ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Develop ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into the required format, and load it into the databases.

7. Requirement Translation: Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into detailed database specifications and data models.

8. Financial Services Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Financial Services industry is required.
