Plumbing Estimator

Located in our beautiful Woodridge, IL facility and reporting to the Chief Estimator. The Plumbing Estimator will assist in creating plan and spec plumbing estimates for our Commercial Plumbing Group.

Responsibilities:

• Quantify project components.

• Develop a clear understanding of the project scope and phasing utilizing the project plans

and specifications.

• Maintain take-off spreadsheets for organizing material descriptions and quantities, back up of

work, and project summaries.

• Identifying constructability issues through the estimating process.

• Sub-contractor and supplier solicitations.

• Able to work on multiple projects at a time, change orders, and tasks as necessary.

• Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back up estimates.

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documents to prepare time, cost, and

labor estimates for products, projects, and services for our type of work.

• Efficiently read blueprints and understand industry pricing.

• Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of estimating commercial plumbing projects.

• Computer estimating software experience. QuickPen AutoBid experience preferred.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Software (i.e., Word & Excel).

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Strong math and analytical skills.

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Knowledge of Piping Plan, Isometric

and detail drawings.

• Graduate from recognized engineering or construction management program is an asset.

• A mix of field and office experience will be helpful.
