We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join this dynamic Sales Department. This role will be based in Greenville, South Carolina, with a requirement to travel to customers across North America (US, Canada, and Mexico) approximately 25% of the time. This full-time position reports directly to the President and offers flexible working hours with the possibility of remote work. Occasionally, additional hours and weekend work may be required.


Territory Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation and Management: Identify target customers, develop strategies to secure meetings, and generate new machine sales opportunities.
  • Customer Outreach: Collaborate with the Marketing team to create outreach initiatives that drive leads and interest in the company's products.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain trustful relationships with potential customers, addressing their needs and managing their expectations.
  • Technical Consultation: Clarify customer inquiries, assess the technical feasibility of their requests, and provide insightful recommendations.
  • Product Demonstrations: Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting how the company's solutions can benefit the customer.
  • Sales Negotiation: Calculate pricing, prepare customer quotes, handle objections, negotiate terms, and close sales deals effectively.
  • Travel and Flexibility: Travel as needed for customer meetings and sales projects. Work flexible hours to accommodate customer schedules and deadlines.
  • Industry Research: Stay informed about industry trends and changes to anticipate their impact on sales and customer needs.


Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Hunter Mentality: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to acquiring new customers and generating sales leads.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and suppliers.
  • Passion for Sales: Enthusiastic about selling, with resilience, pressure management skills, and a positive attitude towards overcoming rejection.
  • Persuasiveness: Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively address objections and close deals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with machine sales, particularly in the steel industry, and strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.


Territory Manage Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Proven success in machine sales, ideally within the steel or manufacturing industries.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and remain mobile for extended periods.
