We are seeking a Marketing and Sales Intern to support sales and marketing initiatives.

This is a 5 month paid externship opportunity.


The ideal candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing team to assist in lead generation, market research, and customer relationship management.


This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and sales in a fast-paced, dynamic industry.


This program is for Washington, DC residents only.

Must show proof of residency.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
  • Assist in lead generation efforts, including identifying and qualifying new leads.
  • Help maintain and update the customer relationship management system.
  • Assist in the development of marketing collateral, including presentations, brochures, and case studies.
  • Help plan and execute events and trade shows.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and develop insights to inform marketing and sales strategies.
  • Support marketing campaign development, planning, and execution.
  • Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels.
  • Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
  • Assist in the management of website SEO.
  • Attend and participate in virtual meetings, workshops, events, and exhibitions to gather data.
  • Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare folders for proposals, quotes, contracts, or presentations for potential customers.
  • Research client base to find new types of customers to sell PEPCO Rebate program, DC, Prince Georges County and MOCO BEPS standards programs.
  • Research consumer opinions and marketing strategies and propose adjustments to current strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare marketing proposals and presentations based on company needs and opportunities.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings.
  • Search for solicitations to be pursued from FBO, USAID, USTDA, MCC, MiDA, GoG, and other websites for project opportunities in energy efficiency, EV installation, Renewable Energy, and construction.
  • Store, organize, and manage files in Dropbox and/or Hubspot.
  • Type, edit, and proofread documents.
  • Take minutes during staff teleconference meetings and other meetings locally.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing tools, and social media platforms.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business, or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social) is a plus.
