Microsoft Collaboration Architect

We seek a Microsoft Collaboration Architect who can help us transition to MS Office 365 / MS Collaboration Suite. Our technical stack is squarely in the MS / Azure world.

We seek Senior level - hands on Architect for this position The purpose of this position centers on architecting and implementing robust collaboration solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will

possess deep technical expertise in M365 collaboration services, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business.


In addition to designing and optimizing collaboration solutions, the Collaboration Architect will also have a solid understanding of the overall tenant administration and

security landscape within M365. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing communication, productivity, and collaboration across our organization's various

departments and initiatives. This is a direct hire opportunity in Alpharetta GA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Architect, implement, and technically administer M365 collaboration solutions,
  • with a primary focus on SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive
  • for Business.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to collaboration services, utilizing
  • advanced troubleshooting techniques, and escalating as necessary.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their collaboration
  • needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on best practices related to
  • SharePoint architecture
  • Work closely with our Information Security team to design, implement, and
  • support governance policies and best practices to ensure compliance and
  • data security across our collaboration platforms.
  • Lead migration projects from legacy systems to Microsoft 365 collaboration
  • services, ensuring a seamless transition with a minimal disruption to users.
  • Experience with ShareGate or other migration tools is a plus.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of collaboration environments to
  • identify areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide training to end-users on
  • M365 collaboration tools and features.
  • Create and maintain documentation for architecture, configurations and
  • custom solutions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in M365
  • collaboration services, recommending enhancements or improvements to
  • existing solutions.
  • Participate in project planning and execution activities, collaborating with
  • cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects and development teams to ensure
  • seamless integration with other enterprise systems and applications.
  • Establish and enforce governance policies for usage.
  • Provide Information Architecture expertise, including defining and managing a
  • corporate taxonomy and maintaining a corporate librarian role.

This Direct Hire opportunity includes heavily subsidized medical coverage a matching 401K, generous paid time off and a excellent management team. The ideal candidate will live in or near Atlanta but we are open to 100% remote candidats.


REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing Microsoft 365
  • Extensive technical proficiency in Collaboration Services administration including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive for Business
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint security models and governance best
  • practices
  • Experience with migration projects, including data migration to SharePoint
  • Online and Teams
  • Project management skills to lead SharePoint implementation projects
  • Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create technical design
  • documents and user guides
  • Familiarity with Microsoft security capabilities relevant to collaboration services
