Are you passionate about turning innovative designs into reality? Kelly Engineering is recruiting for a Manufacturing Design Technician for our client in Woodstock, GA, where you’ll play a key role in modeling, operating, and developing cutting-edge manufacturing systems and equipment. In this role, you’ll collaborate across multiple departments, including Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, and Production, to ensure seamless communication and effective processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and report safety hazards and incidents immediately.
- Implement safety precautions in all assigned projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment and processes.
- Model parts using CAD software for 3D printing and CNC manufacturing.
- Convert CAD files into g-code using slicing software.
- Program and operate automated 3D printing systems.
- Oversee the entire 3D printing process, including post-processing and product distribution.
- Maintain and repair 3D printers to ensure smooth workflow.
- Create and edit CAD drawings for fixtures and harness boards.
- Provide accurate project time estimates and maintain clear communication on project progress.
- Take on additional tasks as directed by management.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in designing mechanical parts for 3D printing.
- Proficient with FDM 3D printing and STL slicing software.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a general manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and physical activity.
