Our large Consumer Manufacturing Client is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to join their team in Fort Washington, PA. This individual will be responsible for authoring and approving specifications, documentation, package line trials and package testing to support product release. They will be taking lead on packaging projects and possess the ability to influence with multi-functional teams in a face-paced environment. They will need the ability to pursue complex technical issues and create innovative solutions in the areas of product, packages, process, mechanistic understand and consumer insights. This individual should think and develop future strategies in key focus areas such as sustainability, e-commerce, and package innovation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Packaging, Engineering, or related field
- 3-7 years of proven experience in Cosmetic/Personal Care, OTC, Food, or related industry
- Solid understanding of a broad spectrum of packaging materials, structures, components, and related conversion processes
- Experience in packaging line trials and package testing knowledge
- Ability to partner and lead effectively across functions and functional levels
- Technical Leadership Skills
- Experience leading multiple projects
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Master's Degree
- Project Management Experience
- SolidWorks/CAD, Abaqus, or other finite element analysis software tools to perform duties
Compensation:
$35.00/hr to $40.00/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
