Histology Technologist

Pride Health is seeking candidates as Permanent Role for a Travel Histotechnologist in Lawrenceville, Georgia

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join our team. The Histotechnologist will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for pathological examination by our laboratory. The successful candidate will perform histological procedures, including embedding, microtomy, staining, and special techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Process tissue specimens accurately and efficiently according to established protocols.

• Perform embedding, microtomy, and staining of tissue samples.

• Utilize special staining techniques as required for specific diagnostic tests.

• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform routine maintenance.

• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and quality control standards.

• Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results.

• Participate in training and continuing education activities to stay updated on industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Min of 2 years of experience within specialty.

• Two (2) years of experience in a pathology laboratory

• Strong knowledge of histological techniques, including embedding, microtomy, and staining.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• All applicants must submit to and pass a Color-Acuity screening Test.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• Required: ASCP HT/HTL

Additional Information:

Location: Lawrenceville, Georgia

Shift:

1. Days - 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM – 12 Weeks

2. Evening: 4:30 PM TO 12:00 AM – 12 weeks

Pay Range:

• $40-45 per hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
