We are looking for experienced analysts to help his lead analyst and BIE. These individuals will need to dive deep into the details of the data to help translate data into something consumable for our client's systems and visualization. One of the 3 data analysts will also support the Analytics Transformation project

Length: Through March 2025 – potential to extend to July 2025

Location: 5 days/week onsite – SeaTac, WA

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver financial insights reports within the first 60 days.
• Ensure financial reports are accurate, timely, and critical for business decision-making.
• Create integrated profitability reports to support key business decisions.
• Translate data from the Snowflake cloud into our client's models for data ingestion and visualization.
• Collaborate closely with the team to ensure seamless data migration and integration.
• Work with the lead analyst and Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to deeply analyze data details.
• Support the Analytics Transformation project by providing detailed data analysis.
• Coordinate with the team to understand the architecture and field names of data.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure data translation meets business needs.
• Utilize Azure Databricks, Python, SQL, Spark, and the Snowflake cloud data store for data processing and analysis.
• Apply statistical data analysis and prorate experience to financial data mapping.
• Assist in hiring two additional experienced data analysts to support the lead analyst and BIE.
• Provide guidance and support to new team members as they onboard.
• Leverage PySpark and customer-facing experience, if available.
• Apply BIE skill sets, statistical data, and prorate experience to enhance project outcomes.
• Utilize experience in mapping financial data (P&L) and integration to improve data accuracy and usability.
• Bring any relevant airline data background to support project objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in using Azure Databricks for data processing and analysis.
• Experience in developing and managing data pipelines within the Databricks environment.
• Advanced skills in Python for data analysis, transformation, and automation tasks.
• Ability to write efficient and scalable code to handle large datasets.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data in various databases.
• Experience in optimizing SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
• Expertise in using Apache Spark for big data processing.
• Experience in writing and maintaining Spark jobs for data transformation and analysis.
• Proficiency in working with Snowflake for data storage and retrieval.
• Experience in designing and implementing Snowflake schemas and data models.
