Position Overview:
We are seeking a mid-level Facilities Engineer to join our team in Anchorage, Alaska. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of telecommunications operations and functions, with a focus on AC/DC electrical design and the deployment of retrofit cell sites. The successful candidate will actively participate in the implementation of new installations and upgrades or changes to existing facilities under moderate supervision and direction.
Required Qualifications:
- Preferably 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, specifically in DC power systems and cell site facilities. Experience in telecommunications central office design and installation, quality assurance, and standards concepts is preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Up-to-date knowledge of technical advances in the field of telephony central office equipment installation engineering, and DC and AC power systems.
- Ability to produce detailed cost estimates, designs, material lists, and installation packages.
